Don’t let stained or discolored teeth keep you from smiling.

Our teeth whitening services

At Healthy Smiles Family Dental, we offer both custom take-home whitening trays or in-office whitening. We’ll help you choose the right option for your needs.

Take-home tooth whitening trays are custom made to fit your teeth comfortably and securely. You’ll fill them with a powerful whitening gel and wear them as instructed by your teeth whitening dentist. Within days you’ll begin to see your smile whiten before your eyes. You’ll see maximum results after about a month and can continue to use your trays periodically to maintain the desired level of whitening.

In-office whitening treatments are more powerful and offer faster results for those who have severely stained or discolored teeth.

Don’t believe the hype about DIY, one-size-fits-all whitening strips or kits you can buy at the drugstore. The whitening agent available at our office is much more powerful and produces better and more consistent results. Your custom whitening treatments at Healthy Smiles Family Dental are tailored to meet your needs.

At Sundance Dental & Orthodontics, we use dentist-supervised whitening agents that safely break down stains and discoloration on the surface of the teeth. We perform this procedure in-office, but we also provide our patients with easy-to-follow take-home whitening kits.

Professional teeth whitening is safe only under a dentist’s supervision. Our treatments are customized to your teeth’s needs, so you can get the whitening you need without harming your enamel or gums.

With proper care, teeth whitening results can last several months to a few years. You can maintain your bright smile by avoiding food and drink items that can stain your teeth and maintaining good oral hygiene. You can also do touch-up treatments when necessary to prolong results.

It’s normal for some patients to experience tooth sensitivity after whitening, but this wears off in 24-48 hours. We recommend avoiding hot, cold, or acidic foods for the first 24 hours and using sensitive toothpaste if needed. Try to also avoid dark colored foods and drinks for at least 48 hours after treatment.

Teeth whitening is a great option for many patients, but you should reconsider if you have tooth sensitivity, gum disease, intrinsic stains (tetracycline stains), or dental restorations (crowns, veneers, or fillings). During your consultation, our team of expert dentists will assess your teeth and recommend the best whitening option for you.
